Patricia "Hobie" Lynch
1933 - 2021

Our beautiful Princess Hobie passed away July 28, 2021. A few years ago she was asked to tell her life story. She kept it simple.
"I was born in Arkansas. when I was little my folks packed us kids up and drove all the way to Junction City, Oregon. Daddy had a job waiting for him. That's where I grew up. When I was 15, me and my best friend Ida were walking down the street and a boy kept driving by and yelling "Hey good lookin!". He said his name was Gene (Eugene Lynch) and he wanted to take me to the movies. I went to the movies with him, but brought Ida with me. My Daddy didn't like him. He said he drove too fast, his car was too loud and he was from Harrisburg. We married when he was discharged from the Army (1950) and stayed married (56 years). Daddy said that he grew to like Gene! Our son Terry Allen didn't live long, then we had our two girls. My Gene passed (2006) and I moved in with my daughter Sue and son-in-law Conrad. We had fun shopping and going to the Hult Center. I've had a good life."
I'm adding to Hobie's story. She enjoyed so many things like traveling, going to movies, and could bake like crazy. But nothing brought more joy than spending time with the person she loved the most, her grandson Spencer. From laying on the floor surrounded by Star Wars action figures, and yes she learned all of the characters names, to attending and cheering him on at every graduation, from kindergarten to Master's Degree.
Predeceased by husband Eugene A. Lynch, son Terry Allen, siblings Robert, Gretchen and Katherine. Survived by daughter Sue and son-in-law Conrad, grandson Spencer E. Jacobson, brother Erva Jr. and sister-in-law Hai.
My mother requested no service be held and added, "if you put an obit in the paper, don't make it long and boring!"
Now go have a dish of ice cream!

Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
