Betty worked in law enforcement as a dispatcher and then went to work for the Capitol Patrol for twelve years, which was a job she truly loved. She then worked for nine years for the Senate. Betty was married for thirty-six years to Ken Henderson and they had two children together. She married Gary Boswell in 1982 and they were married until his death in 2020. In Betty's younger years, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and macrame. Betty enjoyed bowling and served as secretary for three bowling leagues. She also enjoyed being outdoors, camping and riding dirt bikes. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Boswell; former husband and father of her children, Ken Henderson; a grandson, Brett Francis; son-in-law, Lynn Foster; a great-great granddaughter, Ellie Foster; two sisters, Helen Davis and Gladys Davis; and two brothers, Raymond Crowder and Gene Elledge.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Terry Foster of Blanchard and Brenda Waddell and her husband, Mike, of Prescott, Arizona; her grandsons and their wives, Rusty and Kristie Foster of Goldsby, Jeff and Missy Foster of Blanchard, and Dan and Kari Francis of Huntington Beach, California; twelve great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Connie Cantrell and husband, Alan, of Oklahoma City; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
