Justin J. Parker, 35, of Rock Falls, died Friday August 6, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.
He was born on June 23, 1986, in Sterling, the son of Marshall Parker Sr and Dawn Smoot.
Justin connected with nature, following the stars, the moon and astrological cycles. He liked art, music and reading. In a tragic Rock Falls house fire in 2017, Justin helped to save the other occupants including his son, Michael's life and became his hero.
Survivors include his daughter, Evie Bryant; his son, Michael Deon Parker; his father, Marshall Parker (Sheila Shreve); his mother, Dawn Thrower (Benjamin Brown); his brothers: Marshall (Keishia) Parker, Jr, Zachary Parker (Amanda Crow) and Nicholas Bittner; his maternal grandmother, Sheri Roberts (Earl Giddings) and maternal grandfather F. Deon (Melody) Smoot.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mahkyli Aziaza Farmer and his paternal, grandparents Charles and Mary Parker.
Visitation will be held on Monday August 9, 2021 from 5 - 7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling.
