Ruth Erma Bass Soptic, 81, passed away January 21, 2011, at Lee's Summit Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years James Samuel Bass and her late husband Joseph Soptic, her parents John and Erma Ditzfeld, a sister Bernice Ash and three brothers John, Victor and Bobbie Ditzfeld. She was a loving and devoted Mother to her children Irena Cramer (Bob) of Kansas City; Jim Bass (Linda) of Redmond, OR; Earline LaSala (Carl) of Raymore; and Marianne Jesse of Raytown. A special Grandmother to Brian Cramer, Wesley Bass (Martha), Michael Bass (Kitsi), Marylou Shearer (Joel); Sean LaSala (Meredith), Eric LaSala (Angie), Tana Ward (Steve), Sarah Moss (Steve), and a step-granddaughter Stacey Robinson (Kevin); 17 great grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren She also leaves behind brothers George and Harry Ditzfeld; sisters Dora Jane Parker, Carolyn Woods, Viola May, Norma Johnson and Bonnie Hrdlicka; and one step great-great grandchild. We know that for the rest of our lives we will be smiling when a memory of you comes to mind. Visitation Monday, January 24th from 6-8:00 p.m. and Services Tuesday, January 25th at 11:00 at Missouri Funeral Care, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO.
