Miss Edna Barnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. R. Barnett, living in the third ward, died in Creswell township on Saturday last. The young lady was engaged as a teacher in the Parker school house, and boarded with the family of Mr. Fred Wahlenmaier. She was taken sick on Wednesday, and although all possible care was taken to avert the evil effects of the malady, death ensued on the day mentioned. The deceased was eighteen years of age, and greatly loved for her estimable qualities. Funeral services were held on Monday, Rev. Flemming and Witt officiating, and the body was interred in Parker's cemetery. The Traveler condoles with the bereaved family in their affliction.
