Frances Cox, 81, of Rison, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, in a Fordyce nursing center.
She was born July 7, 1940, in DeWitt.
She was a store manager for many years at EZ Mart where she retired, and was a Baptist. She enjoyed reading and tending to her dogs as well as working in her yard and flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Rieves and Lillie Franks Etter; a son, Richard Garcia; a grandson, Chris Garcia; a brother, Herman Rieves; and a sister, Lillie Ellen Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Serita Womble and husband, Bruce; a son, William Garcia, Jr. and wife, Sheila; her grandchildren, Tyler Smith and husband, Shawn, Cody Womble and wife, Sarah, Russell Garcia, Rebecca Bongcayao and husband, Josh, and Priscilla and Lewis Garcia; one brother, Gerald Rieves of Coolidge, AZ; 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Thompson Cemetery, DeWitt, with the Rev. Stoney Shaw officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
