Joy Fern Turner, age 88, of Lodi, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021.

She was born on February 15, 1933, in Daisy, the daughter of Teabie Layton Tedder and Myrtle Jane Whisenhunt Tedder. On October 21, 1948, she was married to Merle Turner who preceded her in death on August 5, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Billy Tedder, Odean Tedder, Eugene Tedder, Freddy Tedder and Rex Tedder; and one sister, Irene Fraser.

She retired from the United States Postal Service, after working for over twenty years as a mail carrier and was a member of the Lodi Freewill Baptist Church. She always enjoyed going out to eat but will forever be remembered most fondly for her love to go shopping, particularly her QVC channel. Joy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who loved her family with all her heart and her greatest joy in life was spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; two daughters and sons-in-law; eight grandchildren and their spouses; nine great-grandchildren; one great-grandson; her sister, Carol Woodall of Daisy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
