Mary Lavonne (Barcheers) Cross July 28, 1955 - August 05, 2021
Mary Lavonne Cross, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born July 28, 1955, in Rawls, Texas, to the late Chester L. Barcheers and Ruby D. Workman Barcheers. She was 66 years old. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Barcheers.

Lavonne was a retired supervisor at Rheem Manufacturing, Inc. in Fort Smith and was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church, located near Lavaca. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her family very much. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10th at First Baptist Church in Lavaca, with Bro. Kyle Horton officiating. There will be a 4:00 p.m. graveside service at Fair Hill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; two sons, Shannon Gotes of Poteau and Scott Gotes and wife Kim of Cameron; three step-daughters, Jeanna McKee and husband Curtis, Janet Gibson and husband Bo, and Jo Cross, all of Lavaca; two sisters, Gail Swindle and husband George of Shady Point and Sandra Ralls and husband Grant of Poteau; four brothers, Danny Barcheers of Spiro, Kenny Barcheers and wife Pat of Bokoshe, Rickey Barcheers and wife Janice of Panama, and Bruce Barcheers and wife Barbara of Hartshorne; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Danny, Bruce, Rickey, and Cody Barcheers, George Swindle, and Eric Ralls.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Barcheers, Jacob Gotes, and Gavin Gotes.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 9th at First Baptist Church in Lavaca. Visitation and services will take place at Lavaca First Baptist Church.
