Obituary:
Robert "Bobby" Allison Staggs, age 81, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Lewis County Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral service was held Monday, December 23, 2013, 1 p.m., in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Glen Floyd officiating. Burial took place in the Swiss Cemetery.
Mr. Staggs was born November 20, 1932 to the late Hershel Staggs and Hettie Jane Galloway Staggs. He was manager of Lewis County Co-op for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosy Doretta Skelton Staggs; brother, Wesley Leon Staggs; and one great grandchild.
Survivors include one son, Thomas "Tommy" Staggs (Nancy) of Waynesboro; two daughers, Betty Jean Burcham (Teddy) of Waynesboro and Margaret Keeton (Buck) of Hohenwald; sister, Retha Gatlin (Richard) of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild."
