Melanie Rae Ball St. Andrews, age 35, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse
She was born August 22, 1973 in Montrose, PA, the daughter of the late Phelps Ball III and Martha Abraham Baker.
She loved her cats and helping other people and always loved her children.
Melanie was married to Fred St. Andrews who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Fred St. Andrews of Cicero, NY; her sons, Jacob and Christopher St. Andrews, both of Cicero; her mother and step-father, Martha and James Baker of Mayfield, NY; her brothers and sisters: Phelps Ball IV of Mayfield, Amy Ball and her companion Jason Goergen of Gloversville, Heather Baker Brawley stationed at Edwards Airforce Base, CA and Derek and Amanda Baker of Anderson Airforce Base, Guam. She is also survived by her grandmother Elizabeth Abraham; her paternal grandparents, Carolyn and Phelps Ball, Jr.; a niece, Annabella Ball, a nephew, Lleyton James Goergen and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
In addition to her father she was predeceased by a daughter, Kayla St. Andrews, her great-grandmother, Hessler and grandfather, Charles Abraham.
Services will be Monday at 1:00 PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Calling hours will be Monday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY.
