Philip J. Henry 86, of Spring Lake, NJ died Monday, February 9, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Harrison, NJ, Philip lived in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Spring Lake 38 years ago. He spent winters in Stewart, FL. Philip served in the US Army during World War II. He owned and operated Cardinal Roofing and Siding, Brick, NJ. Philip enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Giants fan and season ticket holder for many years. Philip was a member of the Spring Lake Golf Club and the Monmouth and Ocean County Chapter of the 200 Club where he was a past president.
He was predeceased by his siblings; Gerald Henry and Elizabeth Moast. Surviving is his beloved wife of 59 years; Maryann Henry, 4 loving children; Patrick Henry and his wife Michele of Pt. Pleasant, NJ, Timothy Henry and his wife Laura of Middletown, NJ, Bryan Henry and his wife Coleen of Neponsit, NY, Maureen Henry of Spring Lake, NJ. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Kaleigh, Liam, Bryan, Keira, Erin and Brendan.
Visiting will be Thursday, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:30 AM at St. Catharine's Church, Spring Lake. Burial will follow in St. Catharine's Cemetery,
