Emily Frances Talley, age 93, of Arkadelphia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born June 5, 1928, in Little Rock, the daughter of the late Frank and Edna Meredith Huggins.
Emily was a foster grandparent at Ouachita Baptist University for many years. She was a faithful member of Baring Cross Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. Emily enjoyed cooking, singing, reading, playing chicken foot, and spending as much time as possible with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Talley, one daughter, Patricia A. Talley, one granddaughter, Patricia M. Garlin, three brothers, Frank, Eugene, and Carold Huggins.
Emily is survived by one daughter, Billie Garlin (Troy) of Arkadelphia, two sons, John W. Talley (Marcy) of Texas City, TX, and Scott Talley (Suzie) of Sheridan, AR, seven grandchildren, Dacia Strickland, Dale Garlin, Katelyn Beeman, Karis and Logan Talley, Aimee Hennessee and Emilee Drake and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Baring Cross Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Baring Cross Baptist Church.
Graveside services and interment will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday at Martin Cemetery in Little Rock.
Pallbearers are Dale Garlin, Logan Talley, Tyler Hennessee, Richard Strickland, Taylor Beeman, and Zach Drake.
