LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Janet Marie Roberts Harris, age 60, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at her home. She was born July 13, 1961, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Johnie William Roberts and Mattie Eliza Mungo Roberts. Janet worked many years for Springs Industries and Rico. She enjoyed coloring on her tablet, watching Roku, and watching the birds at her bird feeders and the deer in her yard. Janet lived life to the fullest, she enjoyed expressing a sassy sense of humor, loved her family dearly, and loved her dog and cats.
Janet is survived by her longtime companion, Rick Farias; her son, Bryan Wright; her daughter, Jennifer Joyner (Charles D.); two grandchildren, Precious Joyner (Skylar Ghent), and C.J. Joyner (Gracie Killough); two brothers, Crawford Roberts, and Larry Roberts (Phyllis Usher); three sisters, Linda Terry, Mary Sue Collins (Harold), and Barbara Lindsey (Johnny); and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Scottie Crenshaw; a niece, Joni Howell; a brother-in-law, Billy Terry; and a sister-in-law, Ann Roberts.
The Celebration of Life Service for Janet will be 11:00 am Monday, August 9, 2021, at Antioch Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Trent McLaughlin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home of Charles and Jennifer Joyner, 3986 JB Denton Rd, Lancaster, SC. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lancaster Co. Relay for Life, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, #100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
