Nancy Ann Barnes, age 88, of Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Whitesboro, NY. Nancy Adolph, was born in Syracuse, NY to James and Adrienne Azoyan, first generation Americans, who immigrated to the US in the early 1920's following the Turkish-Armenian Genocide. She attended Central High School in Syracuse. Nancy met her first husband, Ernest Adolph, at Snow Ridge ski resort in Turin, NY. Nancy and Ernie shared a love of skiing and enjoyed many years of skiing with their 3 daughters. Nancy was a loving mother and wife who cared deeply for her friends and neighbors often accompanying her neighbors to chemotherapy appointments for cancer treatment. After her husband, Ernie's, early death, she married Tom Barnes. They moved to North Ft. Myers, FL where they lived for over 20 years.
Predeceased by her parents, James and Adrienne Azoyan, sister Sylvia Azoyan. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Tom, sister Seta Hogel, daughters Priscilla Adolph, Robin Diebold (John) and Jennifer Stelmack (John), grandchildren Stephanie Torrado (Angel), William Diebold (Julie), John Stelmack and Nicholas Stelmack. Great-grandchildren: Nicolas Torrado, Daniel Torrado and Henry Diebold.
A private family service was held by the family with interment at Carr Cemetery in Marcy.
