BURGHILL — Gary Lynn Baker, 68, of Burghill, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

He was born March 6, 1953, in Sharon, Pa.. the son of Paul and Dorothy Hazlett Baker.

He was a Joseph Badger High School graduate.

Gary had his own business, Baker's Automotive. He then became a machinist at Industrial Engine in Youngstown.

He was a huge NASCAR fan, but he enjoyed all types of racing. He also enjoyed hunting, working on cars and fixing things.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle George of Hubbard and Christine (Jack) England of Liberty; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (James) Smith of Kinsman; and a brother, Earl "Terry" Baker of Hartford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffrey Baker; a sister, Mary Rose Baker; and two brothers, Harry and Ted Baker.

Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 state Route 7, Hartford, on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiating.

Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.
