Howard Lee Massey, age 86, of Amity, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021.

He was born on January 4, 1935, in Elm, the son of Ira Herman Massey and Linnie Elizabeth Lambert Massey. On February 10, 1956, he was married to Mary Alice Lambert Massey, who preceded him in death on July 8, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Massey and Loyd Massey; and two sisters, Jessie Juanell Buck and Ruth Henson.

He was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ and a United States Army veteran. Howard worked many years as a logger, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and reading, particularly anything western. Besides fishing, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Linnie, whom he adored. Howard will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Marvin Lee Hampton; his pride and joy, his granddaughter, Linnie Hampton, all of Bonnerdale; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
