Jesse Branston Price, 86 of Spring City died Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Rhea Medical Center in Dayton.
Born on December 11, 1934 in Spring City, Jesse graduated from Spring City High School and was the captain of the football team. After graduation, he moved to Ohio and returned to the Spring City community in 1978. Jesse was a self-employed concrete mason. He loved to garden and play music including the bass fiddle, guitar and mandolin. Jesse loved people and going to flea markets. He attended the Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Garland Winford and Anna Lee McClendon Price, the mother of his children Emma Lee Price, siblings James Price, Curtis Price, Luke Price and Maxine Roach and daughter Wilma "Tootsie" Foy.
Survivors include his children Brenda (Jeff) Harris and Ernest Price both of Spring City, longtime companion Barb Cahlik of Spring City, grandchildren Justin (Candi) Harris, Jessica (Aaron) Burlingame, Dana Thornsbury and Carla Ferrell, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren Alexia, Kenney, Brody, Ann, Eli, Negan, Daryl, Cassandra and Dylan and his dogs Kaney, Sadie and Jasper.
A celebration of life for the family will be held at a later date. Vaughn Funeral Home, Spring City is in charge of arrangements.
