Barbara A. Graves, age 73, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri
Barbara was born the daughter of Ernest E. and Mary E. (Summers) Huff on February 10, 1948, in Bethany, Missouri. She was a 1966 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Barbara was united in marriage to Donald E. Graves on September 22, 1973, in Anana, Guam. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2004. She worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell for over ten years. Lastly, she worked as an administrator for the Federal Government for over 30 years in Jacksonville, Florida, until her retirement in 2007. Barbara was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was also a member of several organizations.
Survivors include her mother-in-law, Louise Graves of Chula, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Jack Graves of Chula, Missouri, and John Graves and wife Wanda of Chula, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Hussey and husband Bill of Avalon, Missouri, and Paula O'Brien and husband Tim of Independence, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald Graves.
Graveside services will be held at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, August 9, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O.
