Obituary for James J. Conrad
James J. Conrad, age 79, was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Ballard), cherished son of the late Norbert and the late Vlasta (nee Chejlava), loving Dad of Matthew and James (Karyn), proud grandpa of Kristen, Joshua, and Jacob, dear brother of Paul (Kay), fond cousin, friend to many, and missed by all. James was a dedicated teacher for over 35 years of the Hinsdale Elementary School District. He proudly taught at Prospect School and The Lane School. In addition, he was a professor at the Chicago State University. In 1993, James was awarded the Honor Roll of Teachers from The Chicago Academy of Sciences. He loved sports and devoted his time as a coach. Finally, James was the Bolingbrook Park Commissioner for many years.

Visitation Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 3 to 8pm. Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, 7800 Janes Avenue, Woodridge, Illinois 60517. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Alsip, Illinois, will be private for the family.
