Born on October 28, 1947 to Julie and Edward Patterson of Pleasantville, she loved to travel, and through her job with TAP Airlines in NYC, she visited some of the most exotic locales in the world: Timbuktu, Kathmandu, Tahiti, Egypt, Portugal, and Mauritis. Her favorite trips were probably the many Caribbean islands she discovered while working on the Windjammer sailing ships, and Grand Cayman, B.W.I became an annual gathering site for her and her extended family.
In her later years, she returned to Pleasantville and worked for Resorts Casino until her retirement.
Julie was an exceptionally kind person who loved animals and nature. Julie loved all creatures big and small. She adored her horse, Baron and dog, Ginny.
Julie truly believed "it is so small a thing to have enjoyed the sun, to have lived life in the spring, to have loved, to have thought, and to have done." Her kindness, compassion and creative spirit will live on through those she leaves behind. Julie surely will be missed by her many loving friends and cousins.
At Julie's request, a graveside service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11am at the Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery, English Creek Avenue, EHT, NJ 08234.
