Calvin Jordan, 90, of Forney, TX passed away on July 29, 2021. He was born on April 21, 1931 to James C. and Pearlie Mae (Bryant) Jordan in Roxton, TX.
Calvin and Hazel (Fortner) were married on December 23, 1950 in Kaufman, TX and they spent 70 wonderful years together. The love of his life, Hazel passed away 3 days after Calvin.
Calvin never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed playing dominoes, deer hunting and fishing. After his time in the Army, he worked for the postal service and had his own lawn care company. He was a decorated war hero, a husband, a selfless father, gentle grandfather, charming and funny great grandfather, and a hard worker, who showed everyone in his life respect, generosity, kindness, warmth and love. Together they were in bowling leagues and played cards with their family and neighbors.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert (Bob) Jordan, sisters Irene Harrell and Lola Hatchel and granddaughter Shannon Brook Puckett.
Those left to cherish their memories are daughters Debra Jordan Garland (husband Wally), Brenda Peacock (husband David), Denise Beleele (husband Dennis), son Daryl Jordan (life partner Ralph),
sisters Bertha McCracken, Patsy Knowles, Ann Meuir and Shirley Tallant (Bill) grandchildren Sheila Peacock (husband Dave), Dustin Gilmore, Misti Nalls (husband Brad), Coley Beleele (wife Alisha), Rachel Tanner Jordan, great grandchildren Kameron Peacock, Darrell (Ruby) Peacock, Parker Nalls, Pheonix Nalls and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends who will miss them dearly.
