Maxey Campbell Walker, 90, of Chesapeake and formerly of Danville, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
Born in Rocky Mount, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Garnett and Bertha Campbell. She was also predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert Elisha Walker and a sister, Hildred Quinn. She was a member of the Third Avenue Christian Church in Danville, Virginia, and attended Great Bridge Presbyterian Church in Chesapeake when her health permitted.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Walker and wife Diana; a daughter, Pam Boisseau and husband Mike; three grandchildren, Leslie Boisseau, Landon Boisseau and wife Ashleigh, and Kevin Ingram; a great grandson, David Ingram; a great-great grandson, Landon Ingram; siblings, Martin "Buddy" Campbell and wife Betty Ann, and Cecile Young and husband R.L., as well as a number of special nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service. The interment will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
