Gordon L. Harmon, 75, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. Born in Berwick on March 2, 1946, he was a son to the late William Harmon, Sr. and Gertrude (LaWalt) Harmon.

Gordon was a graduate of Berwick Area High School, Class of 1964. He proudly served in the US Army, completing basic training at Fort Jackson (Columbia, SC) and specialist training in Berlin, Germany before serving in the Vietnam War. Gordon worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at the Berwick Hospital Center for more than thirty years; retiring in 2008. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish. He was a very talented individual who enjoyed woodworking and home renovations, and had a love for classic cars, especially the '61 Thunderbird that he was in the process of restoring. He also enjoyed listening to "Golden Oldies". His greatest joy, however, was his family and time spent with them, especially at the lake. He was very proud of his family, by whom he will be greatly missed.

Surviving Gordon is his loving wife of 31 years, the former Angela L. Melchiorre. Also surviving are children: Treena Ross-Yaple and husband Michael, Tracy DiGiandomenico and husband Jason, Chris Haycock and wife Megan, and Mark Haycock and wife Melissa, daughter-in-law Colleen Fitzpatrick; Grandchildren: Ashley Thomas, Morgan Orellana, Alex Haycock, Shane Haycock, Clint Ross, Cameron Ross, Olivia DiGiandomenico, Mia DiGiandomenico, Madeline Haycock, and Brendan Haycock; Great-grandchildren: Logan Orellana, and Boden Ross

Also surviving are siblings William Harmon Jr., Harry Harmon, and Linda Holdren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his first wife Rosemarie Reider Harmon, who passed in 1988, son John Haycock, son-in-law James L. Ross, and siblings John Harmon, Alvin Harmon, Helen Bankes, and Edith Harmon.

All are welcome to join Gordon's family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Parish, 721 Monroe Street, Berwick. , Reverend William T. Barbee will officiate as celebrant. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gordon's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
