Elsa ,Texas -- Maria De Jesus Alvarado, age 73, of Elsa, Texas entered eternal rest surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Maria was born April 6, 1948 to Andrea De Los Santos and Eutimio Cantu.
Maria will be dearly missed by her beloved family. She will be forever remembered and loved by all.
Maria is survived by her children Yvette Alvarado, Orlando Alvarado (Laurie Palacios) and Rolando Alvarado; her siblings Aminta Rodriguez, Juan (†Estella) Cantu, Pedro (Lucinda) Cantu and Reynaldo (Liz) Cantu; her grandchildren Pedro Gonzalez Jr., Marlene Marie Gonzalez, Dynira Andre Gonzalez and Orlando Dylan Alvarado.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents Eutimio Cantu and Andrea De Los Santos; and her sisters Martha (Rene) De La Rosa and Rosario (Reymundo) Martinez.
A gathering of family and friends for Maria will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Highland, Weslaco, TX 78596. A chapel service will occur Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM followed by an interment at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, TX 78596.
