MAXTON -- Kevin Dwayne Hunt, 51, of Maxton, died Sunday, June 5, 2016.

MAXTON — Kevin Dwayne Hunt, 51, of 5312 Preston Road, was born Aug. 20, 1964, and departed this life on Sunday at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Jeffery Dean Hunt; maternal grandparents, the Rev. Percell and Mrs. Flossie J. Locklear; paternal grandparents, Mr. Peter and Mrs. Etta J. Hunt; two uncles, Mr. Edsol and Mr. Enaris; an aunt, Ms. Lillie; a father-in-law, Mr. Evans Bullard; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Melissa Locklear.

The funeral will be 8 p.m. today at Galilee Baptist Church with the Revs Samuel Wynn, Fredrick Locklear and Matthue Locklear officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hunt family cemetery.

Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife, Mrs. Deneen Hunt; a daughter, Ms. Angelica Hunt; a stepson, Mr. Austin Hardison; two grandchildren, Kevin and Kivan; his parents, Mr. Gurney and Mrs. Bessie Hunt; four brothers, Mr. Randy Hunt (Teressa), Mr. Grady Hunt (Karon), Mr. Brent Hunt (Celeste) and Mr. Kent Hunt (Nahir); a sister, Ms. Flossie Maria Hunt; and 13 nieces and nephews as well as a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Galilee Baptist Church.
