Jack Douglas Chaney, 89, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 22, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Reverend Robert Lattie and Winnie Moss Chaney and was preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Lee and Robert Howard Chaney and four sisters, Loretta Chaney, Peggy Chaney, Martha Sue Rhea, and Doretha "Sis" Chaney. Jack was also preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Jones. Jack served honorably in the US Army. He worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver for much of his life. Jack was a lifetime member of Second Baptist Church where his father served as minister. He enjoyed painting by numbers and sharing his beautiful paintings with everyone over Facebook. Jack was a devoted husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather who will be missed greatly by everyone who knew and loved him.
