He is survived by his special partner, Judy Bowling, of East Bernstadt, his daughter, Jennifer Rae Yates of Junction City, Kentucky, his sister, Gloria Yates Powell of Perryville, Kentucky, one niece, two nephews, and six great-nieces and nephews, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
He was a farmer, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge of Danville and a member of Junction City Baptist Church.
Russell Ray Yates, Jr. departed this life at his home on Thursday, August 5, 2021, being 72 years, 10 months and 18 days of age.
Funeral services for Russell Ray Yates, Jr. will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Eric Richardson and Bryan Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
