Coy Junior Cansler , 77, of Sherwood Drive, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Conway Medical Center.

Mr. Cansler was born in Jerrod, Georgia, the son of the late Isaac Avery and Myrtle Ann Workman Cansler .

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Cansler retired from the SC DOT as a resident construction engineer with 40 years of faithful service.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Conway, where he was involved in the Angler Sunday School class.

Mr. Cansler was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Cansler .

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Tyler Cansler of Conway; three sons, Alan Blaine Cansler , Jerry Tyler Cansler and Roger Craig Cansler , all of Conway; two granddaughters, Judi Cansler Fowler of Green Sea and Michele Cansler of Conway; a brother, Eddie Cansler of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three sisters, Elsie Graham of Loris, Barbara Hardee and husband, Marion, of Loris and Sue Prosser and husband, Jerry, of Charleston.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with the Rev. Bob Guffey and the Rev. Rocky Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Branch Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 at the funeral home.
