She was born June 24, 1936 in Van Buren, Maine to the late Ovide and Aurelie (Soucy) Marquis.
She married Donald E. Stewart July 4, 1981 in Piqua; he preceded her in death on October 26, 1999.
Survivors include five children, Robert (Rachel) Hartzell of Piqua, Douglas (Charlotte) Hartzell of Arlington, Texas, Chris Hartzell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Scott Hartzell of Piqua, Patricia (Johnny) Beasley of Four Oaks, North Carolina; two step-children, Cynthia Stewart-Brown of Dayton , Sherry Kroger of Kettering; a sister, Jeannine Gangwer of Martin, Michigan; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Mrs. Stewart was a graduate of Greenville High School and retired from the Shipping Dept. of the Corning Company of Greenville March 1, 1997. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and its St. Clare Society. She was active with the Ladies of the Moose and as a volunteer for the Bethany Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Daniel P. Hunt as the Celebrant.
Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington
