Louis Martin "Marty" Ayer, Jr., 40, of Rt. 1, Box 198, Ehrhardt, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at his residence. The funeral will he held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2000, at St. John's Baptist Church, Ehrhardt, with the Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Ayer was born Oct. 11, 1959, in Bamberg, a son of Louis Martin Ayer Sr., and Loraine Jones Martin. He retired from construction work. He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother and father of Olar; two daughters, Stacey and Jessica Ayer, both of Ehrhardt; a son, Joshua Ayer of Ehrhardt; three sisters, Judy Carter and Sandra Chavis, both of Olar, Shirley Funderburk of Blackville; and a brother, Buddy Ayer of Olar. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg.
