She was a member of the North Ridge Church of Christ & a faithful servant of Christ. She was baptized into Christ at the age of 12, having been taken to church as far back as she could remember by her beloved mother "Muddy". She was frustrated when Parkinson's disease robbed her of her physical ability to serve, but she was still an inspiration to all those who knew & loved her.
Geneva was married to her "best friend", John Robert Atkins on March the 4th, 1944. John preceded her in death in 2003, having been married 59 years. To this marriage was born six daughters.
Geneva is survived by & will be greatly missed by daughters Wynelle Stamper, Diana Tafoya, Johnnie & Gaylon Cameron, Janice & George Billings all of Mt. Pleasant & Janelle & Robert Linker of Quitman, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, & 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Margaret Scrivner, sons-in-law, Jay Green & Richard Tafoya, grandchildren, Stephen Stamper, Renee Stamper Ross, Erin Bailey, Kevin Hightower & Clayton Cameron & by a great grandson Conner Tafoya.
