Confederate Army Office. Lieutenant Stockton served in the 2nd Missouri Infantry C.S.A. Company "I", Cockrill's Brigade. He was captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi and held for two years at Johnson's Island, a military prison camp in Ohio. After the war, he returned to St. Louis and organized the Majestic Range Company, the largest stove manufacturer in the world at that time. He also owned the Majestic Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas and was on the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair committee.
