Hannah Miller, age 41, passed away July 29, 2021.

Hannah was born July 17, 1980 in Des Moines, Iowa to Timothy and Janet Reames.

As a nine year old child, she went to work with her mother at a nursing home and discovered that she just had to help, and loved answering the residents' lights. She was always a caring and giving person from a young age.

She attended school in Lorimor and Winterset, IA, and graduated from American Correspondent School. She went on to study nursing at DMACC.

Throughout her life, she lived in Des Moines, Winterset, California, Lorimor, and Macksburg.

As a teenager, she became addicted to drugs. After she successfully completed treatment, she was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness.

She married Daniel P. Miller and became a loving wife and mother.

Her one son, Victor, meant the world to her.

She was a hard worker. She worked on a tree farm, then as a housekeeper in a motel, both while living in Winterset. She also worked as a nurse in Emory, TX.

Hannah was a delightful child, but struggled with mental illness and she got older.

She will be missed by the many who loved her and her beautiful smile.

Hannah enjoyed fitness, particularly walking and swimming, being outdoors, and she loved nature. She was into fashion and made her own jewelry – she loved "bling"! She loved all bright colors and they matched her personality perfectly as she was fun-loving, friendly and caring. She loved life, was very artistic, and a talented painter. She had a big heart and a passion for animals. She especially loved her cats. Hannah never knew a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Miller of Des Moines; son, Victor Miller of Atlantic, IA; mother, Janet Castillo of Golden, TX; siblings, Beth Boatwright of Knoxville, IA, Russ Reames of Grimes, IA, Chet Reames of Des Moines, and Phoebe Reames of Des Moines; grandmother, Dorthy Reames of Adel, IA; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Penny Brown; and many loving friends.

Hannah was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Reames; grandfathers, Ced Reames and Omar Poe; nephew Jacob; and uncles, Ted Reames and Sean Reames.

Burial will take place at McDonald Chase Cemetery in Madison County near Winterset, Iowa on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to jw.org or Central Iowa Shelter and Services in loving memory of Hannah.

Job 14:14-15
14 If a man dies, shall he live again?
All the days of my service I would wait,
till my renewal should come.
15 You would call, and I would answer you;
you would long for the work of your hands.
