Carl Dean Lee, 55, resided in the Plumfield area of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away August 3, 2021 in his home. Carl was born January 3, 1966 in Benton, Illinois to Martin Dean and Mary Jane (Curry) Lee. He was a 1984 graduate of F.C.H.S. and then went on to graduate from S.I.U. In the school years, Carl and Terry Travis became close. Their friendship grew through their adult years and today. "A friend sticketh closer than a brother." Carl was a member of the IBEW and previously employed by Ameren and was also was a partner in C.G.L. Electrical Contracting Company. Carl was also known as the sheriff of Plumfield by all of his friends and neighbors. Carl was united in marriage and is survived by his wife, Kimbra Keene Lee; their two children, Destiny (Robert) Lively and Cody (Alexa) Lee; grandson, Carter Dean Lee, who was the light of Carl's life and he loved to show him off; parents, Martin and Mary Jane Lee; two sisters, Cindy Tabor and Carolyn Caracci; mother-in-law, Bonnie Keene; sister-in-law, Vicki Minor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday August 8, 2021 in Union Funeral Home – West Frankfort, Illinois. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road.
