Curtis was born on August 5, 1994 in Bakersfield California to Rene "Chris" Rogers and Cheryl A Manasco. Curtis grew up enjoying football, fishing, and almost anything outdoors. He was also a lover of comedy, and would always find a situation to inject a quote from one of his favorite funny movies.
In school, Curtis developed a passion for history. This enthusiasm for history would eventually lead to his career goal of becoming a high school history teacher. After graduating from North High School, Curtis went on to achieve his degree in history and teaching licensure from the University of Montana in Missoula. When Curtis passed away, he was en route to Billings Montana to begin his teaching career at Billings Senior High School.
Curtis fell in love with Montana, became a resident, and planned on living his life out in that beautiful state.
Curtis was known for being a "gentle giant". He was kind, loyal, forgiving, and honest. He had a talent for combatting negativity with a healthy dose of positive vibes and a witty sense of humor. Even though Curtis was blessed with a high intellect, he was never condescending and would instantly win over anybody he met.
Curtis is survived by his father, Rene; mother, Cheryl; brother, Troy; grandfathers, Pepi and Joe; grandmother, Lorena; stepmothers, Windy and Rebecca; stepsister, Victoria; and the rest of his family and friends.
Curtis is preceded in death by his grandmother, Pamela.
Curtis will be honored at a celebration of life in Bakersfield California, and subsequently his ashes will be spread in Missoula Montana; the place he called home.
