Margaret F. (Combes) Terry was born on February 3, 1937 to Jess L. Combes and Nettie M. Combes in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Margaret was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, her personal Savior on July 30, 2021 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She changed her address from earth to Heaven peacefully with family by her side.

Margaret was proud of her Cherokee Heritage and often talked of her folks traveling on the Trail of Tears in Oklahoma. One of the best vacations Margaret took was with her husband and children to visit her old stomping grounds and to meet with other family members in Oklahoma. It was on that trip her children realized just how much her Cherokee Heritage meant to her.

On March 11, 1955 Margaret married her sweetheart Jerry Terry. Margaret met Jerry in the 5th grade. In High School, Jerry was known to be a Romeo and when he asked her out for a date she accepted to as she put it," dupe him and put him in his place", however Margaret fell in love with him instead. This past year Margaret and Jerry celebrated 66 years of marriage and a love story shared for many years.

In November of 1956 Margaret and Jerry welcomed their first child, a son Jerry Keith Terry.
In April of 1958 a second child, a daughter Jennifer M. Terry was welcomed and on the 15th of July in 1959 Margaret and Jerry welcomed their third child, a daughter Juliana C. Terry.

Receiving Jesus as a child, Margaret walked her Christian faith daily and showed the Love of Jesus to everyone she met. She always instructed her kids to only speak nicely of others or don't say anything at all. Her favorite chapter was 1st Corinthians 13. Known as the Love Chapter, Margaret always said it was for everyone. In the early 60's Jerry and Margaret were called into the ministry and Margaret not only was the pastors wife, she was a Sunday School teacher, women's studies organizer, leader for her daughters girls group, but most of all Margaret had a creative side in which she would write and direct plays the youth would perform for the congregation. The Terry's retired from the ministry in the early 80's, at which time Margaret began working for the House of Fabrics managing stores in Portland and Salem until she and Jerry moved to take care of her father in Silversprings, Nevada. Upon his passing they moved back to Klamath Falls and made their final home in Dorris, California where Margaret worked at the bank and eventually retiring from Skoog's Market where she worked for her daughter Jennifer and her husband Neil. Margaret served as the City of Dorris Treasurer for a few years.

Margaret had three special hobbies, sewing, crocheting and gardening. Margaret had the pleasure of sewing wedding dresses and prom dresses for her daughters and granddaughters. The last wedding dress was a miniature wedding dress for her great granddaughter. She especially loved making pajamas for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren at Christmas. Margaret would crochet many hours for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Nettie Combes, father in law and mother in law Solus and Gladys Terry, a special uncle, Sonny Thompson and his wife Wanda, and a brother in law, Francis (Frank) Terry.

Margaret is survived by her husband and sweetheart of 66 years, Jerry Terry, her three children, J. Keith (Linda) Terry, Jennifer (Neil) Skoog, and Juliana Terry. Her grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) Emmons, Isaac (Patsy) Terry, Mandy (JR) Avgeris, Charoone (Joey) Clifford, Clinton (Brittany) Emmons, Tara Skoog, Erik (Krystal) Skoog, Cheneil Zieg, and Jesse Terry, her 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister in law, Barbara Terry, sister in law, Barbara (Vince) Candido, brother in law, Butch (Kathy) Terry and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.

Wife, Mother, Grandmother, GG and friend to all, Margaret's smile and blue eyes will forever be in our memories. We love you mom and we will see you again!
