Santa Rosa, TX - Juan Ruiz, age 68, of Santa Rosa, Texas passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born June 12, 1953, in Santa Rosa to Guadalupe and Audelia Rodriguez Ruiz. Juan was lifelong resident of Santa Rosa and worked for the Santa Rosa Sugar Mill for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Juan loved listening to music and KTEX was his favorite radio station.

Juan is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Ruiz.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his loving children, Linda Ruiz Cano (Joe), Laura Lee Ruiz-Pena (Robert), Juan Ruiz Jr. (Brenda), and Guadalupe Ruiz (Yarely); 11 grandchildren, Rayvin Saldivar (Aries Villanueva), Estephanie Cano, Darren Robles, Kira Cano, Octavius Cano, Josiah Ruiz, Titan Ruiz, Dalilah Nunez, Lorenzo Pena, Zachary Ruiz, and Ava Ruiz; 2 great grandchildren, Xzaleigh Villanueva and Orlando Villanueva; 15 siblings, Pedro Ruiz (Estella), Fernando Ruiz (Sonia), Guadalupe Ruiz, Mario Ruiz, Robert Ruiz (Carol), Sylvia Garza (Mariano), Irma Ruiz, Herlinda Ruiz, Elizabeth Ruiz, Amelia Moreno (Marcos), Dalia Ruiz, Adelaida Ruiz, Sarah Anciso (Ernest), and Audelia Lopez (Rolando); along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.

Chapel Service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:00 am at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Interment will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Juan Ruiz Jr., Guadalupe Ruiz, Daniel Ruiz, Juan Luis Ruiz, Fernando Ruiz, and Mario Ruiz.
