On Friday, April 30, 2021, Sharon Byrd, 59, passed away in her home in Ball Ground, Georgia.
Sharon was born on August 30, 1961, in Marietta, Georgia, to Herman and Ruby Haney. On November 4, 1982 she married John Taylor Byrd, III. Together they raised four children, Ashley, Andon, Kilee and Shawna.
Sharon was strong, fierce, inviting, passionate, hilarious and had the utmost faith in those she loved. She enjoyed Mexican food and margaritas, and would've spent every single day of her life with her toes in the sand by the ocean if she could've. She fiercely loved her children and her husband of 38 years, and never missed a chance to take a trip with her sisters. She loved the Lord and found peace in her relationship with Him and her church family. She and her husband worked tirelessly to build their own businesses from the ground up, and while she didn't have a technical title, she will forever be known as the "CEO in charge of everything." She will be missed beyond measure.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Ruby. Her brothers David and Otis. Her sisters Betty, Judy and Sheila. She is survived by her husband John. Her children, Ashley, Andon, Kilee and Shawna. Her grandchildren, Braydon and Brody. Her siblings, Sandra, Shelby, Shirley, Michael, Robie and their spouses, and several nieces and nephews. Her family hopes that when you enjoy cheese dip or ocean views, you'll think of her and smile.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Sosebee Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Byrd Family Fund at Regions Bank.
