William was married to his wife Virginia "Ginny" (Brothers) Benson for 72 years but knew each other since they were 12 years old. They were married in Augusta, Kentucky, December 11, 1948. She passed away earlier this year, February 12, 2021.
His parents: Floyd Tolliver & Anna Belle (Mulligan) Benson and a sister Jocelyn Nixon, along with 3 brothers, Marlon, Oleum, and Charles Benson preceded him in death
They have three daughters: Bonnie (John) Warner of Bellbrook, Ohio, Debi Benson of Dayton, Ohio and Brenda (Bill) Dodson of Spring City, Tennessee.
Four grandchildren: Jennifer Warner (Brian) Kedley, Keith (Errin) Warner, Tim Dodson and Chris (Sydney) Dodson.
They also have four great grandchildren: Brooke Loehrig, Paige Adkirson (Adian), Caleb and Jaden Warner.
Bill is survived by his sister Beatrice Rudd, along with many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
He was a faithful member and servant to his church, Faith Baptist Church. He worked diligently within the church ministries and helping those in need. William was a carpenter for over 50 years and belonged to the Carpenters Local Union #136.
He and Ginny loved their home in Beavercreek, Ohio that Bill built in 1959-1960. He was known as Bill to his friends and was loved dearly by his family.
Graveside service to follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek.
