Carol Joan Paul (McGrath) born February 27, 1933, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 1, 2021, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife, loving mother, dear sister, and cherished friend. She took great joy in spending time with her family.

Carol was born at her grandmother's house and raised in Omaha, NE, living near extended family, including her dear Aunts. In her youth she attended parochial school, establishing her strong faith. As a young adult she moved to Los Angeles working with Howard Hughes Aircraft before returning to Omaha and working with Northwestern Bell. It was in Omaha where she met and married Lee in March 1962. Lee's career took them throughout the Midwest before settling in St. Charles, MO in 1977 to raise their family.

She was an active member of the community participating in many clubs and organizations, including Welcome Wagon, bowling leagues, Brownie leader, and Girl Scout Cookie leader. Carol worked for the Francis Howell School District, retiring in 1999. During her retirement she volunteered reading to children and driving the elderly to doctor's appointments, and became a very engaged member in her beloved Bible Study group. In addition, she enjoyed listening to jazz, exploring the area, riding her bike, playing cards, reading, attending St. Louis Baseball Cardinals games, and traveling.

She is predeceased by her parents, Marvin & Alice McGrath, her brother Ronald, and her sister Susanne. Survived by her husband Lee D. Paul; daughters Kimberly (Andy) Glennie of Las Vegas, NV, Wendy (Chip) Muston of Indianapolis, IN, Stella Paul Williams of Northville, NY, Sheila (Tod) Sirois of Alexandria, VA, and Rachel (Robert) Malkowski of Austin, TX; grandchildren Andrea & Sarah DeLibero, Audrey & Sophia Muston, Moira & Evelyn Sirois, and Jay & Amy Williams; brother Michael McGrath; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
