Rogers, Bennie Green

November 29, 1935 - August 3, 2021

Mr. Bennie Green "Ben" Rogers, age 85, of Gibsonville, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Beacon Place in Greensboro after several months of failing health.

Born in Stokes County, he was the son of the late Robert Ernest Rogers and the late Annie Hall Rogers and was married for over 36 years to the late Sandra Wilson Rogers, who passed in 2019. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Ben was the owner and operator of S&S Body Shop in Winston-Salem and was a member of Brightwood Christian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Tabasco Lodge #271 in Gibsonville, the Burlington Shrine Club, and was involved with the Scottish and York Rites in Greensboro and the Amaran Temple in Raleigh.

He is survived by his daughter, Alicia McInnis Gullotti and husband, Arthur; two granddaughters, Savannah Drake and Taylor Ruth Drake and husband, Abdallah Buirat; great-granddaughter, Karolina Sessa; step children; Kevin Brewer and wife, Danielle, James "Jamie" Brewer and wife, Tina, Tracy Parker and husband, Mike; step grandchildren, Karaline McKinney and husband, Adam, Kasadey Brewer, Jacob Brewer, Matthew Brewer and Stephen Parker; step great-grandson, Grey McKinney; sisters, Agnes Young and Betty Ruth Shelton; and a brother, John L. Rogers and wife, Connie. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two brothers, Ernest Rogers, Jr. and Bobby Lee Rogers.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Jamie Brewer. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
