Dianna Martin, age 61, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was born April 3, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, to Johnny B. and Morriel (Kindred) Martin.
Dianna Martin lived a rich life full of notable success and service. She became a certified Child Care Assistant in 1978, a Certified Massage Therapist in 1979, and a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1982. In 1989, she combined her skills and helpful spirit to become an Emergency Medical Dispatcher. Dianna then used her knowledge to work closely with the Cobb County Police Department, becoming certified in family violence, hostage negotiations, alcohol, chemical treatment, and Peace Officer Standards training. Upon retiring, Dianna continued her love of service through charitable donations, volunteer work, and church endeavors. Notably, Dianna contributed to Native American Tribes with a focus on helping Native Children, a beautiful nod to her own Native American Heritage.
In 1980, Dianna (Annie) Martin moved from Michigan to Georgia to be with her family. She later found a new church home and became an active member of Atlanta West Pentecostal Church, where she found her loving church family. Dianna faithfully served in various ministries for over 25 years, including Cub Scouts, Hospitality, Choir, Altar Team, Prison Ministry, and HOPE Ministry (a ministry to the homeless.)
At 10:23 p.m. on August 3, 2021, Dianna was reunited with her mother, father, half-brother (Ronnie Boddie-Martin), and a host of ancestors in the glory of the Almighty God.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4.
