Rebecca Sue Starr Hall passed away in the presence of family, under the care of Hospice of Alamance-Caswell on August 1st, 2021.

Rebecca was born in Greensboro and was married to her late husband Roger for fifty-one years. She was the daughter of the late Irene and Luther Starr. Rebecca, or "Becky' to her family was a vibrant and energetic person whose life translated her concern for others into action. She worked at the Cerebral Palsy School of Greensboro and as a health care volunteer at Cone Hospital. Her love of children was evident in her work with the church, Scouts, and local schools. She served as a Deacon at the church of her birth, Alamance Presbyterian, and received an honorary lifetime membership into the Presbyterian Women's association in 2005. In her later years she was fortunate to find a new circle of friends at the Hamlet and another church home, Elon Community Church. She was known for her love of hosting family and friends but was equally comfortable in the garden, boat, or working on her latest creative project. One of her proudest achievements was building a lake cabin with her husband Roger in the 1960's, which her family continues to enjoy today.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Hanner; daughter and husband, Dianne and Jim Leloudis; son and wife, David and Kim Hall; grandchildren, Bryce (Danielle), Andrew, Kirsten (John), Anna (Jack) and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Destiny and Jack David. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth and Alan Starr.

Rebecca will be remembered for her light-filled spirit, sharp mind, and her engagement until the end with her family and close friends.

A graveside service will be held for the family at Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery on August 21st, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of Alamance and Caswell County, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington NC 27215 or the Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
