DICKIE, Arthur Charles, of Peterborough (formerly of Bass River, Nova Scotia), peacefully at Extendicare in Peterborough, Ontario at the age of 90. Artie, loving husband of Hazel (née Moore). Devoted father to Blaine (Ronda) Dickie of Peterborough, Sheldon Dickie of Chelsea, Quebec, Shannon (John) MacInnis of Burlington, Ontario and the late Evan Dickie. Cherished grampie of Alana (Dave) Fudge, Allison (Jason) Flemming, Jared (Holly) Dickie, Emma Dickie , Aaron (Nina) Dickie, Sara (Rob) MacIntosh, Jeff MacInnis(Candice) and Nick MacInnis (Brittany). Great grampie of twelve. Brother-in-law to Roland Payne, Oxford. Artie is predeceased by his parents Harold and Georgina from Bass River, NS and his sisters Laverne and Kathleen. Artie is a WWII veteran, serving overseas including England and Holland. Artie was a founding member of the Bass River Fire Brigade and was a devoted fireman with them for over 50 years. A memorial service in Artie's honour will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 22nd at COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter Street West, Peterborough, Ontario.
