Joseph Sykes Alldread, 79, of Grenada, died Saturday at his residence.
Mr. Alldread was an employee of Joliet Army Ammunition Plant and J.J. Ferguson. He was a member of Grenada Church of God and a World War II Army Air Force veteran.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at National Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Frank Samples and Hulon Evans officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Alldread is survived by his wife, Sarah Brown Alldread of Grenada; four sons, Roy Allen Alldread of Grand Forks, N.D., Michael Alldread of Mobile, Ala., Anthony Alldread and Timothy Alldread, both of Grenada; three daughters, Margie Alldread Kinkin of Braidwood, Ill., Vicky Newsome of Brighton, Tenn. and Gaynell Marcie Burns of Burnsville; a brother, Tom Alldread of Mathiston; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
