Stella Card Anthony, 82, of Comanche died Saturday, May 23, in the Western Hills Care Center.

Services were Tuesday, May 26, in the Hall & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche with Dr. Van Christian officiating. Burial was in Comanche Gardens of Memory.

Mrs. Anthony was born March 20, 1916, in Pecos, the daughter of Earl Garland and Ollie Buchanan Card. She was married to Boyd H. Anthony on Dec. 31, 1938, in Pecos. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garland Card and W.L. Card.

She was a homemaker and worked for several years for the family-owned State National Bank in Comanche. She had lived in Comanche for 58 years and was a member of First Baptist Church where she served in the church nursery for more than 20 years. She was a graduate of Pecos High School.

Memorials may be made to the nursery fund at First Baptist Church of Comanche.
