Kenny Bailey, 80, passed away on July 22, 2021, at Calhoun Health Care Center in Calhoun, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Bailey, and sister, Donna Bailey Lackey.

The only surviving member of the Bailey family is Butch Bailey, who resides with his wife, Carole, in Ouray, Colorado. Kenny also has three cousins, Dickie Critz, Norma Jean Moser, and Betty Dunn.

Kenny spent most of his life in Greensboro, North Carolina before moving to Cartersville, Georgia to live with his sister Donna, who passed away on September 8, 2020. He graduated from Greensboro Senior High School in 1959 and was on the wrestling team. Following his graduation, he joined the U.S. Marines Corps, and he was honorably discharged in 1964. He later was employed by the Greensboro City Schools and retired with the N.C. State Retirement System.

Kenny was loved by all who knew him. He was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church and volunteered on a weekly basis. His favorite activity was walking with friends at the Four Seasons Mall and afterwards going to breakfast with them at Chick-fil-a. After moving to Cartersville, Kenny and Donna volunteered at the Salvation Army. Following his death of pneumonia, he was cremated, and his cremains are with his brother.
