Clinton James Richardson, age 18, affectionately known as "CJ" passed on this life to soon on July 31, 2021 as result from an automobile accident. CJ was born in Newburg, IN the second child of Kevin and Tina (Fals) Richardson.

When all of us think of CJ we think of grit, work ethic, discipline, determination, success, etc. We think of his athleticism in any sport he attempted, Baseball, Basketball, Golf in each he became one of the best. We think of his kindness, his leadership, his concern for others, as some would say he acts like an Old Soul. His obituary could go on for pages of accomplishments, acts of mercy, funny stories, his love for everyone especially his savior, but one of his teachers put it best.

When I think of CJ, a smile instantly begins to spread across my face. It was a privilege to have him in class. As a teacher, it is part of my job to inspire others, but CJ was an inspiration to me. He was a breath of fresh air, standing out amongst his peers. He had an infectious smile and a warmth about him. There were times he would stay after class to visit; he was so personable. CJ was kind, genuine, and had a way about him that made others feel special. CJ was not one to shy away from hard work, and he was driven to succeed in his endeavors.

CJ was present in every moment, experiencing life to the utmost. He was an unforgettable young man. He had a life well lived, full of integrity. CJ has left this world a brighter place and our lives were enriched by knowing him.

CJ is survived by his parents, Kevin and Tina Richardson of Norris City, IL, his grandparents, Jim & Kay Richardson of New Haven, IL, Steve & Sheila Fals of Cottonwood, IL and his great grandmother, Janice Gross of Cottonwood, IL. Many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and to many friends to count. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister Brittany Richardson.

Visitation for CJ will be Thursday, August 5, 2021 at The Roads church in Norris City, IL from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. His funeral service will immediately follow at the church at 2:00 PM. Pastor Chad Everett will officiate the service and CJ will be laid to rest in the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
