November 12, 2007 Robert L. McGuire, 83, of North Syracuse, passed away on Monday at his home. He was born in Syracuse and served with the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the Mattydale American Legion. He was a Truck Driver and a custodian at Holy Cross School for many years. Bob enjoyed SU sports, playing Bingo and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn McGuire in 2005; and a daughter, Deborah in 1952; a brother, Harold; and a sister, Lois. He is survived by two sons, Patrick (Kay) McGuire of New Zealand, Edgar (Mary Anne) McGuire of Syracuse; two daughters, Robin (Terry) Redmond of N. Syracuse, Maureen (Brian) Reilly of Liverpool; six grandchildren, Keith, Linda, Jennifer, Gregory, Eric and Collin; nieces and nephews and a special friend, Peg Niedzialkowski. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. in the PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 9:45 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse. Dignity
