Nancy A. Russell, 83, of Walcott, IA, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at her home. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Blue Grass Cemetery in Blue Grass, IA.
Nancy was born in Buffalo Township, IA on November 26, 1937 to Sidney and Lenora (Kahl) Myers.
She graduated from Scott Community College with a degree in computer programming. She worked as a computer programer for many years and later owned and operated Russell's Work and Western Wear in Blue Grass. In later years, she worked at the former President Casino until retiring in 2002.
Nancy married Oscar L. Russell in 1954 in Rock Island, IL. They later divorced.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially preparing Holiday meals.
Nancy will be missed by her son, Randy (Joleen) Russell of Fruitland, Iowa; four grandchildren: Brandy Russell, Wendy Alderin, Jessica (Marcelo) Orozco and Katie (Travis) Phillis; twelve great-grandchildren; her sister Dorothy Mosier of Buffalo, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Velma Duncan and brother Earl "Bud" Myers.
